iOS 16 introduced a slew of changes for iPhone users, and many are still getting used to the new features and user interface. In addition to the new features, Apple has redesigned how notifications are displayed on the lock screen and in the notification center on your iPhone, which you may notice once you update your device to iOS 16.
Change Your Notification Display Mode ⭐ iOS 16 Tips
In this post, we'll explain where notifications appear on your lock screen and in Notification Center, and how they appear on your iPhone after updating to iOS 16.
If you recently purchased a new iPhone or updated your existing device to iOS 16, you’ll notice that Apple has changed the way your notifications are displayed on your lock screen and in Notification Center. Before the update, all of your new notifications were available at the top of your lock screen, followed by Notification Center, which is where all of your older notifications were hosted. This way, all of your notifications (new and old) were accessible from the same screen and were just a scroll away from being visible.
In iOS 16, new notifications will appear at the bottom of the lock screen instead of the top. You won’t see the Notification Center on the same screen, because it’s hidden from the lock screen. You can open the Notification Center by swiping up from the middle of your lock screen.
