5G can change the way you live by supporting faster mobile connections, so you can stream smoother movies, upload videos faster, and connect more devices to the internet with less lag.

However, factors such as testing and regulation mean that 5G can’t be rolled out immediately, so it’s not yet available everywhere. Instead, there are regular strides being made to reach more areas.

Verizon currently offers 5G broadband internet, called 5G Home Internet and powered by 5G Ultra Wideband, in hundreds of cities. Some of those locations include Houston TX, Sacramento CA, Indianapolis IN, Los Angeles CA, Chicago IL, Detroit MI, Minneapolis MN, St. Paul MN, Atlanta GA, Dallas TX, Denver CO, and San Jose CA. 5G Home Internet service began on October 1, 2018.

5G Ultra Wideband was rolled out on April 3, 2019 and is currently available in parts of over 1,000 cities. 5G Nationwide covers over 2,000 cities.
