Apple Watch uses various icons on the screen to indicate different options and details that you should consider essential. Since most of these icons are small in size due to the smaller screen and do not have labels, it can be a challenge for new Apple Watch owners to learn them.
Where is the i icon on Apple Watch Ultra, Series 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2? (2023 Update)
If you're wondering what the "i" icon means and where it is located on your Apple Watch, the following post should help you make sense of it all.
The info or i icon is visible on an Apple Watch when it is in pairing mode by bringing it closer to your iPhone or when you scan the watch with the latter. The icon is displayed in a circle with a small “i” in the lower right corner when you are on the pairing screen.
In addition to being visible on the Apple Watch screen, you may also see the “i” icon in the Watch app on your iPhone. This icon appears when you select your Apple Watch in the Watch app, after which an “i” icon should appear to the right of the selected Watch model. From here, you can access additional features you can use with your watch, such as “Find My Apple Watch” or unpair your watch from your iPhone.
