When you first load The First Descendant, you’ll be able to choose from three Descendants to play through the first mission. Viessa is an ice-themed debuffer, with powers that allow her to freeze her enemies and fire ice beams at them from a distance. She is best suited for players who enjoy a hit-and-run playstyle, like those who play villains in other games.
She is a high-paced character, who can create her own ice paths just by running around with the skill active – this is the skill "Frost Road". Although Viessa is a decent character for damage, players who choose her will definitely need some support for battlefield missions and big bosses.
This Descendant definitely takes the most time to figure out how to use her abilities. But once you try them out and figure out which weapons work best for you in The First Descendant, you’ll really enjoy the playstyle that comes with running Viessa. She’s a skirmisher of sorts, though she doesn’t quite have the health strength to support that.
