Recent LoLdle quotes have been a fun mix of short and long League of Legends champion quotes, but today's LoLdle quote is another epic short one word quote. With only one word to go off of, things get pretty tough, especially if you don't know your AD carry characters that well.

The LoLdle quote from August 2nd is: “Cannonball!” The League champion who says this phrase is Tristana.

I was really hoping today's LoLdle would be hard. When I first saw that this was one sentence, I immediately thought of the Kassadin quote we had recently and how hard that was. But this quote, despite being one word, I found easy to understand. While there are a few champions like Gangplank who have canon or canon-inspired abilities, Tristana is the only champion who could possibly fit that description. And I was right: little Yordle says this specific quote when her Buster Shot (R) collides with an enemy.

While Tristana just received some massive adjustments in Patch 14.4 to improve her bland gameplay, especially among pros, these changes don’t do the Yordle any favors. For us regulars, Tristana simply isn’t good enough in Season 14, where she has an abnormally low win rate of 45.86 percent, according to League stat website U.GG. So she’s simply not a viable ADC at the moment, which is a shame because her voice lines are sassy and fun. She does have a better win rate in ARAMs, so if you’re rolling Tristana, it’s worth playing her there.
