The Soulmask you choose when creating your character will boost a number of your stats and combat abilities, and your choice should be determined by the style of combat you prefer in action survival and RPG games. That said, if you're really into RP or are simply here for the excellent crafting and prefer to go by style, you can do that, especially if you're playing on a very easy level.
If you like playing a melee tank style character, the Civilization Mask is your best bet. Its bonuses focus on defense and stamina enhancement, while its Mimicry ability is a HOT that can get you out of a tight spot in tough fights.
If you like to sneak around in the shadows in a rogue or thief-like manner, go for the Conquest Mask. You’ll get some cool DPS and crit buffs, especially when attacking from behind, while also making less noise, allowing you to sneak up on your opponents.
