The Future of Augmented Reality (2030)
Oppo recently announced the Air Glass, an AR device that will go on sale early next year. Google and Apple are also rumored to be working on their own versions of AR headsets.
"AR brings 3D, captive experiences, real-time interaction and creative content like never before," Ranga Jagannath, an AR expert, told Lifewire in an email interview. "When people think of video games, for example, they think of entertainment, but the potential is much greater. Digital worlds have the power to simulate real environments and push the boundaries of reality to improve lives in so many ways."
Oppo’s Air Glass is an AR device that will hit the market next year. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100 processor and weighs around 1oz. The company claims that it can last for 3 hours of active use and 40 hours of standby time.
