You don’t keep your rank forever in Apex Legends. The game’s ranked mode keeps track of how you stack up against the rest of the world’s players, but that rank resets periodically to keep things fresh. Sometimes, of course, that reset is unintentional.
Ranked Net RESET in Apex Legends! 😅
On August 12, 2024, Apex players who logged into the game discovered that their leaderboards had been reset just one week into the new season. This was clearly unintentional, as leaderboards typically don’t reset until a few weeks into a season, and the first Season 22 split was supposed to last six weeks. But can you do anything about it?
Yes, if your Apex rank was reset on August 12th, your rank was reset prematurely. And that was not the intention.
It's unclear at this point if this was a bug or if something else is happening in Apex's backend, but the ranked reset seemed to catch everyone by surprise, Respawn included. The devs said they are already looking into the issue and will keep the community updated on their progress as they continue to work on it.
