I'm really curious to see what I'll discover when I get my hands on the new Dyson V15 Detect vacuum cleaner.

The problem isn’t the vacuum. I’ve owned a Dyson before so I know it’s a good quality product. I’m concerned about what I’ll learn about the condition of my floors. The V15 shoots a laser ahead of it that makes dirt more visible to the human eye.

I have a feeling the results will be disgusting, but at least I have the vacuum that zooms in behind the laser to suck up everything that doesn’t belong on my floor. Up until now I’ve been living in a kind of blissful ignorance of my filth, because I use the cheapest vacuum I could find on Amazon.

The $700 V15 shows that ignorance is not bliss. The company says the V15 counts the dirt it collects in real time, using a sensor to record the amount and size of particles, then vacuums it up.
