I've long been a fan of Casio's G-Shock watches, so I was eager to hear about the company's recent announcement of its new Wear OS smartwatch.
G-SHOCK GBD-H2000: Never charge your watch again! – 30 day review
These days I wear an Apple Watch Series 6, but I’m open-minded when it comes to watches. I love G-Shock’s promise that my watch can survive extreme conditions, even though the reality is that my wrists are never far from the keyboard most days.
Delightfully, the new G-Shock, burdened with the extremely unpleasant name GSW-H1000, looks almost identical to the classic models from the '90s. There's the same ridiculously bulky plastic casing with its menacing curves and rugged angles.
Casio claims that the GSW-H1000 will be as robust as it looks. The watch is said to have a shock-resistant structure and is water-resistant to 20 bars.
