Together with my good friends Hagrid, Professor McGonagall and Snape, I reminisced some memories.
Harry Potter fans play the new Hogwarts mobile game
Okay, not in real life, but I’ve been playing Jam City’s Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery for the past two weeks. I recently invested in a second-generation 11-inch iPad Pro , and before I bought it I knew I wanted to download some games. As an avid Harry Potter fanatic, I figured this adventure game would make a good first download for my new device.
There are a few functionality and design changes that could have made the gaming experience better, but the game still has a nice historical flavor with various challenges that will test your trivia skills to memorize spells, phrases, and potions from the popular franchise.
See, I chose to play this old game from 2018 because, first of all, it has the highest rating on the Apple App Store for Harry Potter games with 4.7 out of 5 stars from about 909,000 reviews. Secondly, I wanted to play an adventure game with some longevity and Hogwarts Mystery is number 28 on the App Store adventure chart. There are plenty of mobile apps for Harry Potter, but not many of them adequately capture the adventure aspect. The other games I came across were mainly puzzle and matching gem games with a Harry Potter theme. Yuck.
