Apple is expected to announce a new remote later this year to go with a new Apple TV, 9to5Mac reports. It could be as simple as a new version of the existing Siri remote, only designed so you can see which way to hold it up.
Or it could be as radical as a full-fledged gamepad for playing games on the Apple TV. But why do people hate the Apple TV remote so much? And why did Apple ever think they could get away with it?
