Despite potential visual issues with the upcoming Blair Witch game on Oculus Quest, virtual reality (VR) is bringing more immersion and player interactivity. Ultimately, that means it won’t matter if Blair Witch looks as good on Oculus Quest as it does on a non-VR platform.

Shortly after the original Blair Witch Oculus Quest Edition reveal, concerns arose over the lower quality of graphics than the original game. Twitter users like nepharyel, who tweeted “Only Quest no normal VR?” took to the social media site to voice their displeasure. However, not everyone shares this sentiment.
“The overall immersion is much more important compared to the visuals,” Soy, an avid virtual reality user, said in an email interview. Soy, who asked not to be named, has spent hundreds of hours in VR experiences and has been following the industry closely for four or five years.
He continues: “When the user feels like they are actually on a roller coaster, climbing a huge hill or picking up and throwing things, the overall enjoyment skyrockets.”
