Adobe Lightroom users can now edit videos without having to learn anything new.
CRAZY new AI features in Lightroom = MIND BLOWN 🤯🤯🤯
A movie is simply a series of still images, and while film editing is a whole different ball game, when it comes to coloring or manipulating that moving image, it’s all the same. With Adobe’s photo editing suite, photographers can now assess their videos using many of the same tools they already know and, we can only assume, love.
“Not all of Lightroom’s color settings will work for video, but it’s enough to be useful,” says film FX pro Stu Maschwitz on his Prolost blog. “Not every video workflow requires a full […] edit with dedicated color tools, so I welcome these features.”
The new video feature is simple. You can trim the beginning and end of a clip to remove unnecessary footage, but that’s about it when it comes to chopping up video. If you want to edit your movie, you’ll need to step up to Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro. Adobe has also added a suite of video-focused presets, including AI-powered presets that adapt to the image they’re used on.
