Now, Mac security researcher Patrick Wardle has discovered a flaw in the installer that leaves you vulnerable to exploitation. “The market may punish Zoom for the security breach, but this highlights a much larger problem in the cyber threat arena. Most ‘regular users’ (read: consumers) are using anti-virus software. What they don’t realize is that those outdated technologies aren’t keeping up with the rapid evolution of threats and exploits that cybercriminals are using,” Chase Norlin, a cybersecurity expert and CEO at Transmosis, told Lifewire via email.
