Diablo 4 will feature PvP zones, but most players will likely avoid them.
The Real Problems With Diablo 4 PvP
Blizzard recently revealed a slew of new details about its upcoming action-RPG, Diablo 4, including the fact that it will feature zones designed with player-versus-player (PvP) content in mind. While the idea sounds appealing at first, a closer look at what we currently know may lead to more frustration for players.
"Diablo 3 missed the mark for a lot of players because Diablo 2 PvP was such a big part of it. Unfortunately, PvP in Diablo 2 led to negative experiences for some because there was a lot of griefing involved," Bill Elafros, co-founder of the BEAT Invitational, told Lifewire via email. "I think Diablo 4 aims to be a middle ground between the two, with some low-key PvP rather than all over the place."
This isn’t the first time the Diablo series has had a major multiplayer feature. 2000’s Diablo 2 did, too. But it’s more notable this time around, as the game will always have online components and will be limited to specific areas rather than custom matches.
