Google has finally unveiled the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, the first phones to feature a Google-made processor, and it looks like they may finally be able to make the Pixel lineup shine as brightly as it deserves.
⚠️ From iPhone to Pixel 6? What will you miss!
After months of rumors and leaks, Google has officially unveiled the next phones in its Pixel lineup, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Unlike previous Pixel devices, the new smartphones will feature a Google-made processor called Google Tensor. While Google hasn’t shared any exact specs about the device yet, a series of tweets it shared as part of its announcement mention improved performance and processing power compared to previous chips used in Pixel phones.
If Google can deliver flagship quality on its latest Pixel devices, it might finally break the mold it has set itself in the past. In fact, if the new smartphones powered by Google technology turn out to be as good as Google claims, it might finally convince me to trade in my iPhone for Android again.
For years, Google has struggled to make headway against its more premium smartphone brands, including Samsung-made Android phones and the iPhone. While previous iterations of the Pixel line have focused more on offering phones in the mid-range and budget segments, something it has done fairly well in the past, the Pixel 6 could once again make a splash in the flagship space. Especially with its new exterior design.
