Tweeters with 600 or more followers can now open a Clubhouse-style audio chat, and it's going to be a huge hit.

Spaces, Twitter’s new audio feature, is live for anyone with enough followers, and it could change the way live events work. Musicians could perform impromptu concerts, brands could host press conferences or public product launches, and more. The same goes for Clubhouse, but Twitter integration makes it much easier, giving users access to 100% of their Twitter followers, not just those signed up for Clubhouse.
“Twitter Rooms is like radio on steroids, only without the music,” technology writer Patrick Moore told Lifewire via email. “It’s live, in the moment, and extremely free-flowing.”
Twitter may not seem like a good fit for long group audio chats, but only if you still think of Twitter as a short-message service. Another way to think of Twitter is as a place for long, text-based group conversations. And yet another use for Twitter is sharing links, including event links.
