Just as Apple stopped producing the M1 MacBook Air, Walmart started selling them for just $699. And it looks like this is a permanent deal.

This is interesting for two reasons. First, it’s an absolute steal for a computer that’s still more than good enough for just about everything. And second, this is the first time Walmart has sold a Mac, even though Apple no longer offers the model for sale on its site.
"Overall, the M1 MacBook Air at Walmart is a solid choice for basic tasks at a fantastic price. But if you need the latest and greatest, a newer model may be a better choice in the long run. While models do 'go out of style,' that shouldn't be a sign of a bad product, just a sign of the times," Apple enthusiast and UX pro Chanelle Henry told Lifewire via email.
The M1 MacBook Air, which was incidentally the first Apple Silicon MacBook Air and also the last Air to feature the iconic wedge design. If you own one, you know how good it is. The M2 and M3 versions may be faster, and offer larger displays and a MagSafe charging port, but not enough to make a difference for most people.
