Now that World of Warcraft has cross-faction guilds, players are begging Blizzard Entertainment to drop faction restrictions across the board, especially for casual content. This change would allow players to group up with their friends, regardless of which faction they choose.

Cross-faction guilds were introduced in Dragonflight’s Embers of Neltharion Patch 10.1, but there are still many activities that cross-faction players can’t do together, including queuing for raids and dungeons, or competing in PvP matches. While WoW’s long-written lore should forbid Alliance and Horde players from teaming up, players are simply tiring of cross-faction blocks and want them done away with, even on roleplaying servers.
Being able to do everything together would be a huge selling point to jump back into WoW, especially with The War Within coming in August, players argued as they called on Blizzard to tear down the walls. Removing cross-faction restrictions would not only shorten queues and allow for more grouping options, but also give unbalanced factions a fighting chance. As one player noted, it's "crazy that they're still here."
Of course, that wouldn’t be easy; the lack of cross-faction activities is likely a result of legacy code, lack of manpower, and quests being tied to specific faction-based NPCs, meaning that changing something so ingrained in WoW isn’t going to be easy or as simple as flipping a switch. But as players have pointed out, cross-faction queues have been a feature since the early days of Remix, so it has to be possible in the game’s design somewhere.
