It's been a while since Apple truly shook up its iPad line, instead relying on iterative improvements to its core models.

However, according to one analyst, the company is preparing to launch its first foldable gadget, a foldable iPad. The analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, works for the renowned firm TF International Securities and has been right about Apple-related predictions for a few years, from iPhone 14 specs to MacBook production centers moving to Thailand.
The source of Kuo's analysis is component manufacturer and supply chain provider Anjie Technology. Kuo notes that the company has struck a deal to supply multiple components for the upcoming foldable iPad, including the stand.
Details are scarce since Apple has yet to make an official announcement, but the analyst suggests the foldable iPad will launch in 2024 and come with a carbon fiber stand. As such, he expects Apple to hold off on shipping any new iPad designs for the next nine to 12 months to help build consumer demand for the foldable device.
