WinDirStat is a great free disk space analysis tool that I recommend over most of the other options available today. It displays all the information you need to understand what is taking up valuable space on your internal hard drives, flash drives, and external hard drives.

This program not only lets you see what's taking up all the space, but also lets you set up cleanup jobs and manually delete data, all right from within the program.
It's not perfect, but there are many positives to this program:
It can be frustrating to have a hard drive with little disk space left, but WinDirStat makes it a breeze to understand which folders and files are taking up all that storage space. Not only does it show you this information, it also lets you act on it by deleting the large (or small) files and folders to free up space.
