Microsoft has announced that it will be updating a number of apps for Windows 11.
✔️ Windows 11 – Install apps or software from anywhere – Install apps that don't come from the Microsoft Store
The announcement was made on the Windows Insider blog, which details the first group of apps affected: Snipping Tool, Calculator, and Mail and Calendar apps.
The Snipping Tool has been redesigned to look more like previous versions, and has a new settings menu and a dark mode.
The tool also gains new features, such as a WIN+SHIFT+S hotkey to select which part of the screen to capture. Users are given the ability to choose how they want the screenshot to look, with options such as Rectangular Snip, Fullscreen Snip, or a Windows Snip.
