Blizzard Entertainment released a bunch of new info about World of Warcraft: The War Within on April 18. During a group interview with content creator Dan “MrGM” Carter and game director Ion Hazzikostas, it was confirmed that the Dractyr class pool may be expanded in The War Within.
World of Warcraft: Dragonflight's Dractyr Evoker Explained
While MrGM didn't share any footage of the group interview, he did post on his X-page that there are plans to have Dracthyr be classes other than Evokers. The game director didn't give a timeline, but the post suggests it should happen "near the beginning of the expansion."
Hazzikostas didn't share the new class list for Dractyr, but since their Visage form is quite similar to humans, I think Dractyr could be Mages, Priests, Rogues, Warlocks, Warriors, Deathknights, Hunters, and Monks. This is just my speculation though, so take it with a grain of salt.
Hazzikostas also mentioned that you’ll be able to use your Visage form in battle while playing as one of the newly available classes. The post doesn’t mention that you’ll be able to use Visage in battle while playing as an Evoker, and while I initially thought this was just an oversight, it may actually be intentional. Evokers have unique animations that require wings and spitting magic, so the chances of you being able to use your non-draconian form in battle are pretty slim.
