Like all other popular gacha games, Wuthering Waves makes extensive use of color coding to represent different items, break down characters/weapons into their star ratings, and show attack attributes, among other things. For players who have difficulty distinguishing colors, or are colorblind, it seems that developer KURO GAMES has made some accessibility mistakes.

This Reddit post highlights several examples of inaccessibility in Wuthering Waves. I am not colorblind myself, but I do have other vision issues, and I agree that there are a lot of small changes that would be needed to make Wuthering Waves a better game for everyone. It’s hard enough learning all the terms and item names in Wuthering Waves without adding these issues.

Many players gave their own opinions in the post, and some responses came from players who are not colorblind, as well as players who are.

The biggest problem seems to be that Wuthering Waves uses a certain shade of blue and purple to differentiate between four-star and five-star items.
