The Xbox One X is too logical in 2024
It’s been a few years since Microsoft introduced the original Xbox One console (2013 to be exact), so when they announced the vastly improved Xbox One X in 2017, people were eager to get their hands on something a little more modern. Microsoft did not disappoint. The Xbox One X is a vast improvement over its predecessor.
It’s considerably more powerful and packed with features than the newer Xbox One S, with 6 teraflops of processing power, 4K graphics, HDR support, a Blu-ray player, and more. It all adds up to the most powerful gaming console ever, which is no mean feat. The X is around 50 percent more powerful than even the PS4 Pro, but how does the gaming behemoth perform in the real world? We take a deeper look at what the Xbox One X is all about and see whether it’s the right choice for you.
Microsoft’s flagship console is much sleeker and smaller in design than the original, bulky Xbox, with a glossy black frame with small chrome accents. Oddly enough, the Xbox One X, out of the box, looks a bit like a PlayStation 2 in size and shape (good company to keep). Instead of the easily scratched glossy plastic of the original, this Xbox is made entirely of matte black plastic with a slightly rough texture that feels great to the touch. This is the same type used on the S console and it definitely feels more premium than previous iterations.
