An Xbox TV app is reportedly in the works that will give more people access to Xbox games without the need for a dedicated console.
You can now play Xbox games on the Fire Stick Max!
According to The Verge, Microsoft is working with TV manufacturers on an Xbox app to bring Xbox Game Pass to more people in their homes via xCloud streaming technology. Microsoft is also reportedly working on a special xCloud streaming stick for use with the new app.
“We’re working with global TV manufacturers to build the Game Pass experience directly into internet-connected TVs, so all you need to play is a controller,” said Liz Hamren, head of gaming experiences and platforms at Microsoft, during a press conference at E3.
These announcements come ahead of Sunday's E3 Showcase event, with more official news on when we can expect the Xbox TV app and streaming stick to be released next week.
