Originally set for release in 2023, true FPS fans had to wait almost a year. But Ubisoft’s answer to Call of Duty, XDefiant, finally released in May 2024.
XDefiant release date update….
For those unaware, XDefiant is a free-to-play shooter created by former CoD developers now working at Ubisoft. The game aims to offer a more fun and varied experience without skill-based matchmaking in casual modes, featuring a classic prestige system and a roster of agents with unique abilities.
After multiple delays and months of waiting, XDefiant launched on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Preload for the game was available a few days earlier.
There were some server issues, despite the success of the previous server stress test in late April, but overall it was a solid launch for the title, with many players expressing surprise at the improvements made since the very first beta in mid-2023.
