It's been a while since XDefiant was last playable in fall 2023, but Ubisoft says it's been hard at work upgrading the game in preparation for this weekend's server testing session, which could help the team determine an official release date.
In a post published today, Ubisoft announced patch notes, along with a list of known issues relevant to this server testing session. Players should be aware of these before logging in to stress the servers.
One of the new changes in this test is a Flashbang Effect setting that lets players choose a new dark effect, which is a great accessibility setting to avoid bright flashes. There are also "several new weapon attachment-related animations" and "new sprint animations for pistols to improve the feel and timing of our footsteps" sound effects.
