There are few moments in an FPS more satisfying than catching the perfect one-shot kill. Snipers and marksman rifles are what you want if you want to be deadly from afar in XDefiant.

But you have to be careful when choosing a sniper or marksman rifle. There’s a fine line between a long-range rifle that feels fast, accurate, and deadly, and one that feels clunky, jerky, and underpowered. Fortunately, XDefiant doesn’t have many weapons that lean toward the latter.

There are currently two snipers and two marksman rifles in XDefiant. Spoiler alert: all of the weapons perform consistently enough that there's no need for a tier below B on this list. Ubisoft has said that a sniper nerf is coming, and that some updates may be needed at that point, but for now, these are some of the best weapons in the game.

The Tac-50 is perhaps the most overpowered weapon in XDefiant right now. The outrage over the amount of damage this weapon can dish out with little drawback to range or accuracy is palpable. Ubisoft recently addressed angry players, stating that a nerf is coming . But until then, this is undoubtedly an S-tier sniper.
