Xiaomi has officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, making them the world's first devices to feature Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The launch event took place in China on October 29.

The standard Xiaomi 15 comes with a 6.36-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,200 nits peak brightness. It packs a 5,400mAh battery and supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device offers extensive personalization with 40 different design combinations through various rear panel and frame options.
The more premium Xiaomi 15 Pro takes things up a notch with a larger 6.73-inch 2K micro-curved OLED display and an even more large 6,100mAh battery. Both devices feature Leica-tuned triple 50MP camera systems, though the Pro model gets a more capable periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom compared to the standard model’s 3x zoom.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has confirmed the global release of the Xiaomi 15 series, saying on X (formerly Twitter) that the devices represent their “next frontier” in innovation and design. While no specific launch date was given, industry experts expect global rollout to begin in late 2024 or early 2025.
