For example, there are always certain new story-related characters that players gravitate towards, but one that completely caught Yoshi-P by surprise was the boisterous Bakool Ja Ja.

Yoshi-P has continued his international media tour for Final Fantasy XIV's Dawntrail expansion, which is now underway and proving to be a hit with new and old players alike. During a recent interview in France, he touched on a variety of topics about upcoming content and at one point mentioned a hilarious community-related tidbit about, of all characters, Bakool Ja Ja.
Thanks to a thorough translation of the interview posted in full by Reddit users 'BlackmoreKnight' and 'Iluna Minori', we were able to learn that Yoshi-P noted how he and his entire development team were utterly baffled by the way players literally fought for Bakool Ja Ja. They might have expected a different character like Koana or even Sphene, but the standout thirst trap in Dawntrail is apparently Bakool Ja Ja, who gave Wuk Lamat quite a bit of grief during the Rite of Succession chapter of the story.
