The first split Battle Pass for Apex Legends Season 22 still can’t be purchased with Apex Coins, but can be earned for free by completing a series of in-game challenges.

If you attempt to purchase the Battle Pass through the Store tab, you’ll only be presented with two options for this split: $10 for the Premium tier and $20 for the Premium+ tier, with only real money options available. Following Respawn’s announcement that they were rolling back the controversial new Battle Pass system, the official social media account confirmed that Apex Coins cannot be used for this split, as the Battle Pass will instead be free for all players to earn by playing each game mode and completing time-limited challenges, with the new pricing system set to launch in split two when ranked modes reset mid-season.
