Microsoft is bringing its AI-enhanced search engine Bing to the mobile market.
Microsoft launches Copilot app for Android and iOS, expanding AI reach
The company just announced mobile apps for the new Bing and new Microsoft Edge browsers, both of which are enhanced through a partnership with AI leader ChatGPT. Previously, a beta version of these technologies was only available to select users on PC.
Not only does the mobile version of the new Bing offer better search capabilities with nuanced results and the ability to answer questions via chat, but Microsoft has also thrown voice control into the mix, so you can literally chat with the recently famous chatbot.
Microsoft gives several examples of how mobile Bing will be useful, such as asking for help finding a place to store luggage during a trip and then having the AI automatically suggest navigation tips. In this scenario, Bing creates a brief itinerary, all driven by voice commands.
