YouTube has sent a cease and desist order to Rythm, a popular music bot for Discord, and plans to shut down the bot on Wednesday.

The bot drew huge numbers. According to The Verge, Rythm is installed on over 20 million Discord servers, which is 20% of the platform’s monthly active user base.
Rythm allowed users to listen to music or other audio directly from YouTube. However, this violates Google and YouTube's terms of service. In late August, Google began cracking down on Discord music bots by sending a similar notification to Groovy Bot.
In that particular case, a YouTube spokesperson stated that Groovy had violated the site's Terms of Service by modifying it and "…using it for commercial purposes." Something similar appears to be happening with Rythm.
