We took a close look at both services to help you decide which one is worth your time and money.
YouTube TV vs Hulu TV: Which is Better? (2024)
On the surface, YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV are similar services. They offer many of the same channels, come equipped with cloud-based DVRs, and start at similar price points. But dig a little deeper, and you’ll likely come to a preference based on each service’s smaller quality-of-life features.
Hulu is best for you if on-demand and original content are important to you. However, if access to more channels and additional sports coverage is more your thing, YouTube TV has the upper hand.
If you look at the channel selection, you’ll notice that YouTube TV and Hulu + Live offer most of the same content. While YouTube offers more channels, you’ll find most of the major networks on both services. Channel availability changes periodically, but the notable omissions from YouTube are History and Lifetime, while you won’t find AMC, PBS, or Univision on Hulu.
