Video conferencing company Zoom is introducing new video calling features through an update to its service and platform.
Focus mode
The announcement was made in a post on the Zoom blog, in which the company details the new features, including a Focus Mode, limited screen sharing, and a revamped Zoom Chat.
As the name suggests, Focus Mode rearranges meetings so that people can only see themselves, the host, and the content being shared, allowing them to focus on the lesson. Meanwhile, the host can see everyone in the meeting in a gallery view. Zoom said it created the mode with “educators in mind.”
Limited Screen Sharing allows you to restrict the screen sharing feature to specific users to prevent sensitive information from leaking to guest participants.
