It can be tricky to collaborate on a document in another program during a Zoom meeting, but the company's new feature could make that easier.
Zoom Introduces AI-Powered 'Docs' | The AI-First Collaborative Document Solution for Zoom Workplace
Zoom announced its new Zoom Docs feature in a press release on Monday. The new feature lets you create and collaborate on documents from within the Zoom interface. It’s also AI-powered, which can help with things like meeting summaries and answering questions during calls.
Zoom Docs is powered by Zoom AI Companion, which means a generative AI assistant is built into the Docs application. “Zoom Docs can kickstart content creation and adapt to different individual and team needs to increase employee productivity,” the company wrote in the press release.
This means you can generate meeting summaries and use those meeting summaries to create content in Zoom Docs using its AI capabilities. You can collaborate on documents with people in a Zoom call and create a Zoom meeting from a document you start before the call. You can also use Zoom’s AI to create and revise all kinds of content, from articles to outlines and even plans. And with real-time translation, you can translate that content into 9 languages (with more planned in the future).
