10 Unforgettable Moments | The West Wing
An adrenaline rush of political maneuvering. A history lesson in the American presidency. A masterclass in propulsive writing from creator Aaron Sorkin. A controversial idealistic belief that elected officials and staff can agree long enough to effect substantive change for the nation (a feeling we crave today).
But one thing that didn’t always take precedence in President Jed Bartlet’s (Martin Sheen) administration was romance. That’s not to say love wasn’t in the air. The amount of time White House staffers spent together, passionately fighting for the causes that got them up in the morning, ensured that emotions were always running high. Couples were bound to show up and get killed, and some of them were among the show’s best.
In honor of the show's 25th anniversary, we're tackling politics and ranking the 10 best couples who kept The West Wing going with more than just coffee and civic duty.
