A total of 100 persons deprived of their liberty from the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City have been transferred to Occidental Mindoro, Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr. said Saturday (August 3).

Catapang said the 100 PDLs arrived at the Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm (SPPF) in Occidental Mindoro on Friday (August 2).
According to the BuCor chief, this brings the number of PDLs transferred from NBP to various operational prisons and penal camps to 7,579.
Catapang noted that 500 Bilibid prisoners had been transferred to the SPPF.
