TIFF 2024 Opens with World Premiere of 'The Tragically Hip: No Dress Rehearsal'
The Toronto Film Festival is chock full of international titles. Led by Mohammad Rasoulof's "The Seed Of The Sacred Fig" and Gints Zilbalodis' "Flow," the festival's massive Centrepiece spread alone has 38 titles from outside Canada and the U.S. The Discovery section has another 18.
Not all of Toronto’s international titles are world premieres, however. Here are 16 that are generating good word-of-mouth. Variety isn’t claiming they’re the best. The buzz may not be justified. But they’re certainly worth following.
