With tears in our eyes, we report that Station 19 has officially come to an end. The series finale revealed the fate of all the firefighters after the Seattle wildfire and gave us a glimpse into their hopeful future.
Unanswered Questions After 'Station 19' Finale | Must-See
The only casualty of the last episode was Kate (Kiele Sanchez), who was killed by a fire tornado before Travis (Jay Hayden) and her colleague could save her. The rest of the crew, including Maya (Danielle Savre), managed to survive the chaos relatively unscathed, although there were plenty of dire situations. Andy (Jaina Lee Ortiz) gave us the biggest scare when she left the team to go find help after they were surrounded by flames. They were unable to find her after removing their fire blankets, but she managed to get reinforcements before collapsing. She was taken to Grey Sloan, where she was treated and regained consciousness.
Each of the firefighters faced their mortality in a different way during the episode. While they wondered if they would make it out of the wildfire alive, they had visions of their potential futures, including starting families, seeing their children graduate from college, finding new careers and loves, and in Andy's case, reconnecting with an old flame.
These future dreams revealed a lot about what the creative team envisioned for the firefighters of Station 19 after Season 7. After drying our tears, we still have a few burning questions (pun intended) about the series finale that need answering.
