Reality TV and messy drama go hand in hand. It can get messier when the people involved not only forget that there are hidden microphones in the room, but that they also have one attached to their body.

Combine that with hot gossip and cameras (sometimes recording all day long… watching you, Big Brother), and you have a recipe for disaster… or entertaining reality TV. Here are some of the most insanely hot mic moments from fan-favorite reality shows The Real Housewives and Vanderpump Rules.
In Season 4, we see Joe walking out of Caroline's 50th birthday party, claiming that he has to make a work phone call. After starting a casual conversation, Joe interrupts the person on the other end, saying, "Hold on. Here she comes. My bitch wife. She's such an a***," before quickly hanging up. Teresa Giudice confronts him, demanding to know who he was talking to and why he was walking out. He becomes defensive, before repeatedly insulting her and pretending that the person on the other end only speaks Spanish. When Teresa asks if he should have answered the phone, he says, "They called me like ten f***ing times, when you call like ten times you think it's a f***ing emergency."
Barbara was later the target of another hot mic, this time with Carole Radziwill. Barbara assumed the two were having a private conversation, when in fact Carole was being mic'd. When she learned that their private conversation would not remain private, Barbara sued the Real Housewives to prevent the episode from airing, but was unsuccessful. The conversation in question revolved around Barbara's belief that Luann's marriage to Tom D'Agostino would end in divorce.
