Is Generation Z the "laziest" generation to work with?
Diablo Cody has completed the script for the 9 to 5 remake.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly at Comic-Con 2024 on Friday, the filmmaker discussed the differences between her version of the 1980 classic starring Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda. The remake, which Jennifer Aniston will produce, is still in development.
“One thing I really liked about it is that the original film focused on the battle of the sexes and the corporate world,” Cody said. “And I see a lot of the conflict playing out on a generational level, like Gen Z versus baby boomers in the workplace, and how we now have a whole generation of people who have learned to set boundaries, and that’s actually, shockingly, a new development.”
