"A Good Girl's Guide to Murder" debuted on Luminate's weekly ratings chart with 699.1 million minutes watched in its first full week on Netflix, making it by far the most-watched streaming original series across both the film and television charts from August 2-8.

This comes after a particularly slow week for streaming; between July 26 and August 1, Season 6 of “Love Island USA” was down to just 386.5 million minutes watched. And besides a solid debut for “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder,” the summer slowdown continued this week as “Love Island USA” remained near the top of the charts, taking the No. 2 spot with 365.9 million minutes watched in the season finale’s second full week of availability.
"Unsolved Mysteries" Season 4 was the No. 3 TV series with a debut of 318.2 million minutes watched in its first full week of availability, followed by "Mayor of Kingstown" Season 3, which saw an increase to 284.2 million viewers during that window, which included the release of the finale. It was followed by "Too Hot to Handle" Season 6 in fifth place with 210.7 million minutes watched and "Presumed Innocent" in sixth place with 210 million. The rest of the chart went to titles with fewer than 200 million minutes watched: "Love of My Life," "Batman: Caped Crusader," "Criminal Minds" and "Cobra Kai."
On the film list, "Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie" — set in the "SpongeBob" universe — debuted with 325.9 million minutes watched, more than double the next most-watched title, "Find Me Falling," with 148.1 million minutes watched in its third week. Both "Rebel Moon" films returned to the list after Netflix released directors' cuts, which took third and fourth place.
