Veteran character actor Gabriel Olds was arrested Wednesday in Los Angeles and charged with seven counts of sexual abuse, the LAPD said. The 52-year-old actor, who played Pat Robertson in the Jessica Chastain-starrer "The Eyes of Tammy Faye," was arrested by West Bureau detectives around 9:40 a.m. near Norway Lane and Norman Place in Brentwood. Olds is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.

Detectives with the Special Assault Section of the Los Angeles Police Department's Operations-West Bureau say they are now searching for additional victims and witnesses in a series of sexual assaults in the Los Angeles area that they believe may be connected to Olds, a Yale University alumnus and son of Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Sharon Olds.
On January 19, 2023, a 41-year-old woman told police that Olds had raped her in her Los Angeles home. Two other adult victims subsequently came forward with similar allegations dating back to 2013. They described consensual dating encounters that escalated into violent sexual assault.
On July 19, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office charged Olds with seven counts of sexual abuse. The Los Angeles Superior Court issued a $3.5 million warrant for his arrest.
