The Department of Justice (DOJ) has decided to offer a reward following the arrest of former Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Gerald Bantag and former Deputy Security Officer Ricardo Zulueta.

The ministry made the announcement after Justice Department Assistant Secretary Jose Dominic Clavano IV said during an interview with ANC that the reward would be paid after their conviction.
“After consultation between the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) and the Secretary, we will liberalize the interpretation of the reward. The reward will be given after the successful arrest and detention of both Mr. Bantag and Zulueta,” Clavano told reporters Tuesday (June 20).
“This is being done to expedite the arrest and move the case forward as quickly as possible,” he added.
