Passengers on Australian airline Qantas were treated to a surprise in-flight entertainment viewing on their flight to Japan. The film being shown in every seat was the Dakota Johnson film Daddio, which featured racy nudity and sexting scenes. As a result, Qantas has apologized for accidentally showing the R-rated Dakota Johnson film on their flight.

Normally, passengers on flights have the option to choose a movie they want to watch. However, Qantas was experiencing technical issues that prevented individual selection. Therefore, the crew chose a movie based on what passengers wanted to see. Their choice was Daddio, which led to that choice of a movie being played on all screens. After the explicit sexting scenes led to complaints from offending passengers, an airline spokesperson apologized.

"The film was clearly not suitable to run for the entire flight and we sincerely apologise to customers for this experience. All screens were switched to a family-friendly film for the remainder of the flight, which is our standard practice for the rare occasions where individual film selection is not possible. We are reviewing how the film was selected," the airline told news.com.au.

The plot of the Dakota Johnson-Sean Penn drama may seem innocent when you read about it. It’s about a woman talking to her cab driver about her affair with a married man. However, it still contains inappropriate content that’s not suitable for the whole family. The MPA gave Daddio an R rating “for language, sexual material and brief, graphic nudity.”
