Academy Award-winning director Alfonso Cuarón has said he would like to make a horror film, but finds writing it difficult.
Alfonso Cuarón doesn't watch his old films anymore
The Mexican filmmaker gave a lecture during the Locarno Film Festival's masterclass series and answered a variety of questions about his career to date, as well as future projects.
“My ambition is to make a horror film one day,” Cuarón said at the Spazio open-air cinema in Locarno.
“I love Rosemary’s Baby, and the other Polanski films, and films like The Babadook. They’re so grounded in reality and in character, so I love those films,” he continued. “As a spectator, I have a broader taste, but anything I think I could do would have to be more grounded.”
