Alien: Romulus Starts Strong With $41 Million – Charts with Dan!

With Disney expected to claim the No. 1 spot for the ninth time this summer, 20th Century Studios’ Alien: Romulus is likely to top Deadpool & Wolverine’s fifth weekend, $18 million to $17 million. Through Tuesday, Alien: Romulus, directed by Fede Alvarez, has a running box office of $50.6 million.
Sony/Wayfarer Studios' It Ends With Us is set to become Blake Lively's highest-grossing film at the U.S. domestic box office, overtaking Green Lantern ($116.6 million) — we're not counting her secret cameo in D&W. The Justin Baldoni-directed, and starring Justin Baldoni, romantic drama is expected to gross around $13 million.
